this track is a recording of live improv from deep in the bowels a desert. the musicians were wandering for days, clawing around in the warm entrails of landscape, stumbling over their memories.. and finally, gesturing at each other for home, grunting out for familiarity, just as they begin to lose their capacity for recognition, they were arrested by language, and it soothed them back to meaning, and reference, and the whole of the blanket of culture and comfort pulled up tight to their chins, tucked neatly in, to sleep another sleep, and dream themselves awake, lost.
lyrics
you? this? are those? can i? want? do you? this goes! here is! more! this swept us up. here is we have, as it is, listen. put together as whirlwind construct, carousel pinprick bright lights, listen in. kept up, held tight. now spoken. smile-eyes closed. phrase put to rest. too kind.
